Delete your account and data
Delete your account in the app
- Open todrift and sign in to the account you want to delete. On the web, go to todrift.com/app.
- Tap the board name at the top left, then Settings.
- Under Erase, choose Delete account and confirm. You may be asked to sign in again first.
Your account is deleted straight away. You can do this from any device you're signed in on.
Delete your account by email
Can't get into the app? Email info@craftsmen.tech from the email address on your account, with the subject "todrift account deletion". Tell us how you sign in (Apple, Google or email). We'll confirm it's your account and delete it within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- All your synced thoughts (titles, notes, dates, importance), popped thoughts and boards.
- Your settings that sync between devices.
- Your sign-in account (email address and user ID), and the Sign in with Apple link if you used it.
What is kept, and for how long
- Pro subscription records are kept by Apple, Google Play, RevenueCat and Stripe as their legal and accounting duties require. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it first: on iPhone, in the Settings app under your name, then Subscriptions; on Android, in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions; on the web, with Manage next to Pro in Settings.
- Anonymous usage stats (never your thoughts) stay in Google Analytics for at most 14 months, and crash reports stay in Crashlytics for at most 90 days.
- Backups and provider logs may last a short time before they are removed on the providers' normal schedules.
- Support emails are kept only as long as we need them to help you.
Delete some data without deleting your account
- One thought: pop it, then in View all > Popped, choose Fade away. To clear every popped thought, use Fade all.
- Everything: in Settings, under Erase, choose Erase all thoughts.
- A board: open the boards list, choose Edit boards, then delete the board. Its thoughts go with it.
- Usage stats and crash reports: switch off Share anonymous usage stats (and Send crash reports on phones) in Settings.
Faded and erased thoughts are kept for about 30 days so the deletion reaches your other devices, then they are removed from your devices and from the cloud.
Never signed in?
If you use the phone app without an account, we hold none of your thoughts. They are only on your phone, and deleting the app removes them.
