Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of todrift: the website, the installable web app and the iOS app, and the optional todrift Pro subscription. By using todrift you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
The short version
- todrift is free to use, with no account needed.
- Pro is an optional subscription with a free trial. It renews automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime.
- Your thoughts are yours. We only store them if you sign in to sync, and only to provide that sync.
- The app is provided as is. Keep anything critical somewhere else too.
Using todrift
You can use todrift without an account. Signing in is optional and only turns on sync across your devices. If you create an account, you're responsible for keeping your sign-in details secure and for what happens under your account. You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, and at least 13.
Please don't misuse the service: don't try to break, overload or get around its security, access other people's data, or use it for anything unlawful.
Your content
You own the thoughts, boards and other content you create. If you sign in, you give us permission to store and sync that content only so we can run the service for you. We don't claim ownership of it and we don't use it for anything else. How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy.
You can export your data or delete your account at any time from Settings.
todrift Pro
Plans and price
Pro unlocks extra features such as more boards and themes. It is offered as a monthly or a yearly subscription. The price, billing period and any free trial are shown on the purchase screen before you subscribe, in your local currency where available.
Free trial
New subscribers may be offered a free trial. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, your subscription starts and you are charged for the plan you chose. Trials are limited to one per person, and eligibility is decided by the store you buy through.
Automatic renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the then-current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. If the price changes, you'll be told in advance as the store requires.
Cancelling
You can cancel anytime. On iOS, manage or cancel in your Apple ID's subscription settings. On the web, use Manage subscription in the app's Settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription, so cancel it separately.
Refunds
Purchases made on iOS are handled by Apple, and refunds follow Apple's policies: request one through Apple. Web purchases are processed by our billing provider, RevenueCat, and its payment processor; contact us through the app if something went wrong and we'll look at it. Where the law gives you a right to a refund, that right applies.
Purchases through Apple
If you use the iOS app, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it.
Changes and availability
We keep improving todrift, so features may change, and we may add, change or remove parts of the service. We try to keep it running smoothly but can't promise it will always be available, error-free or uninterrupted. If we ever shut down a paid feature, we'll give reasonable notice.
Disclaimer
todrift is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. It's a calm place for your to-dos, not a system to rely on for anything critical: keep important dates, records and deadlines somewhere else too.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data, missed tasks or missed deadlines, arising from your use of todrift. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Pro in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be waived.
Ending your use
You can stop using todrift at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, and will tell you why where we reasonably can.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you in the app. Using todrift after a change means you accept the updated terms.
