Unfinished thoughts nag
They come back while you’re working, reading or trying to sleep: the call you need to make, the thing to buy, the idea you don’t want to lose.
Writing them down, even with just a rough plan, helps quiet them.
So adding a thought takes one breath.
No forms to fill in
Title, project, tags, priority, due date: a lot of to-do apps turn a five-second thought into a minute of admin.
In todrift a thought is just its words. When it’s due and how much it matters are optional, and you can add them later.
So you can empty ten things in a minute.

Then it sorts itself
Give a thought a date, or say it matters, and it grows. Everything else stays small and hazy in the background.
You don’t have to organise the dump. Size does it for you.
So you only look at the big ones.

Questions
Can I add notes or subtasks?
No. A thought is just its text, with no separate notes, subtasks or tags. That’s on purpose: the fewer fields there are, the faster things get out of your head.
Does it sync between my phone and computer?
Yes. Sign in and your thoughts sync across iPhone, iPad, Android and the web. On the phone apps you can also skip the account and keep everything on your phone.
Can I get my thoughts out again?
Yes. You can export everything as a spreadsheet file (CSV) from Settings at any time.
Is todrift free?
Yes. Adding, sorting, syncing and the full list are all free. todrift Pro adds separate boards (work, home, that side project) and more themes, and you can try it free for a month.
