How it works

Tasks that grow when they matter.

No sorting, no priority flags, no long lists to scroll. Each thought sets its own size.

Add a thought

Type it and send it. If you like, pick when (Today, Tomorrow, a day from the calendar, or Whenever) and how much it matters (Low, Normal or Matters).

Skip both and it simply floats, small and calm.

That’s all the setup there is.

Size is urgency

Every thought gets a score. About two-thirds of it comes from how soon it’s due, one-third from how much it matters.

The score sets the blob’s size and colour: dusty blue when it can wait, bright violet when it can’t (in the default Dusk theme). Sizes ease toward their targets, so you can watch a thought swell as its day gets closer.

So the biggest blob is always the one to look at.

Pop it when it’s done

Tap a big blob to open it. Pop it bursts it and moves it to Popped. Let it drift closes it again.

Popped thoughts fade away on their own after 90 days, or whenever you choose in Settings. Until then you can bring any of them back.

Nothing else ever deletes a thought.

And when you want more

Questions

Can I still see a normal list?

Yes. View all shows everything as rows, most important first, with a Popped tab for what you’ve finished.

Does it work offline?

The iPhone and Android apps work offline and sync when you’re back. The web app needs a connection to open, but saves every change on your device first.

Can I sort or drag blobs myself?

No, and that’s the point. Change a thought’s date or importance and its size follows.

Is todrift free?

Yes. Adding, sorting, syncing and the full list are all free. todrift Pro adds separate boards (work, home, that side project) and more themes, and you can try it free for a month.
